US Airways, Manchester-Boston Regional Airport’s second largest air carrier, has announced that it will increase daily jet service to hubs in Washington D.C. and Charlotte North Carolina. Beginning April 9, 2013, US Airways will increase service between Manchester and Washington-National from three to four daily roundtrip flights. The flights are scheduled to depart Manchester at 6:00 a.m., 7:55 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., with return flights scheduled for 10:00 a.m., 2:51 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 10:05 p.m.
US Airways will also increase service between Manchester and its Charlotte hub from one to two daily roundtrip flights beginning April 9, 2013. Non-stop flights to Charlotte are scheduled to depart Manchester at 8:10 a.m. and 4:53 p.m. with return flights scheduled for 2:19 p.m. and 7:59 p.m.
Airport Director Mark Brewer commented, “We are very excited that US Airways has increased its investment in Manchester. The additional flights to key hubs in Washington and Charlotte will increase the number of potential travel options for both business and leisure travelers.
We will be reaching out to our business partners across the region to help get the word out about this new service. If we are able to garner strong community supports for the new service, it will strengthen our case for maintaining these additional flights as well as increasing US Airways service in the future.”
