Marcel J. Mercier Elected Chairman of Manchester Airport Authority

Manchester-Boston Regional Airport is pleased to announce that Marcel J. Mercier was unanimously elected to serve as the next Chairman of the Manchester Airport Authority.  Mr. Mercier has served on the Airport Authority Board since February, 2010.  He is currently the President of Macy Industries in Hooksett, New Hampshire, has held a private pilot’s license for more than thirty years and is a lifelong resident of Manchester. 

Immediate Past Chairman, Robert Dastin commented, “Marcel has a passion for aviation, the airport and the City of Manchester which has served him well as member of the airport authority.   I am confident that his experience and enthusiasm will be an asset to the board, as well as the airport.”   Airport Director Mark Brewer added, “We are looking forward to the opportunity to work with Authority member Mercier in his capacity as Chair.  He has proven to be an effective advocate for the airport, City of Manchester and the general aviation community and we look forward to his leadership of the airport authority board. ”

Chairman Mercier commented, “I am honored to serve as the next Chairman of the Manchester Airport Authority and would like to thank Bob Dastin for his service and leadership, as well as the other members of the board, for their continued support.  The airport is a critical piece of the New Hampshire infrastructure and economy.  I look forward to working with the Airport Director and staff to make sure we are doing all that we can to support and grow this valuable asset.”
